HYBE Privacy Policy

Hybe Media Oy (hereinafter “Hybe”) collects, stores, and uses your personal data as a data controller in connection with and in order to provide and develop Hybe services (“Hybe”) according to this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”).

Hybe is governed by this Privacy Policy irrespective of the platform through which you use Hybe. By installing, accessing or using Hybe you give consent to the processing, use and disclosure of your personal data. Do not install, access or use Hybe if you do not agree to this Privacy Policy.

Hybe reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy by posting the amended Privacy Policy on Hybe’s website http://www.hybe.com/hybe/privacy and on Hybe at least 30 days before the effective date of the amended Privacy Policy. You will be deemed to have accepted such changes by continuing to use Hybe. If you do not accept the change of Privacy Policy, you are no longer entitled to use Hybe.

1. How we collect your data

Personal data is mainly collected from you through (i) your newsletter sign-up, (ii) your registration for any part of Hybe, (iii) your purchases through Hybe, or (iv) other communication between you and Hybe where personal data is required.

The personal data Hybe collects directly from you may include, but is not limited to the following sort of information: your name, address, country, email address, age, gender, as well as your interests.

Hybe may use analytics services to help Hybe understand how you use Hybe and possible social networking pages, and advertising campaigns. This done for the purpose of supporting business analysis and operations, business intelligence, product development, improving Hybe’s products and services, personalizing content, providing advertising, and making recommendations. Hybe may also use third-parties in the context of performing these analytics.

You may also choose to disclose data about yourself in the course of contributing content to Hybe.

2. How do we use your data

Hybe uses your personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The purposes of processing your personal data include (i) operating and improving Hybe; and (ii) providing you with a better service by knowing more about you and your preferences; (iii) sending you related information, including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts as well as support and administrative messages; (iv) sending you marketing communications with respect to products and services that Hybe believes may interest you; (v) conducting market research and opinion polls.

3. Cookies

Hybe may use cookies or other similar online technologies. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or device by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the website.

You can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of Hybe.

4. Disclosure and transfer of personal data

Personal data may be disclosed to third parties including third parties located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area in accordance with applicable legislation and this Privacy Policy.

Hybe may disclose your personal data to third parties in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, the sale of substantially all Hybe’s shares and/or assets or other corporate change, including, without limitation, during the course of any due diligence process provided, however, that this Privacy Policy shall continue to govern such personal data.

5. Data retention and correctness

Hybe retains the collected data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Thereafter Hybe deletes all aforementioned data in its possession within a reasonable timeframe. Hybe does not verify the correctness of personal data.

Please note that some data may be further retained if necessary to resolve disputes, enforce Hybe user agreements, and comply with technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of Hybe.

6. Data security

Hybe follows generally accepted industry standards and maintains reasonable safeguards to attempt to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the data in Hybe’s possession.

7. Third party terms and conditions

Please note that Hybe may include links to third party content and/or the third party content may be made available to you via Hybe. Therefore, your access to and use of Hybe may be subject to certain third party terms and conditions, as well as privacy policies. Hybe is not responsible or liable for any such third parties’ use of your personal data.

8. Further information

You are, within the limitations imposed by applicable law, entitled to a) check what data Hybe has collected of you; b) require that any incorrect, useless, incomplete or outdated information be corrected or removed; c) prohibit Hybe from processing your personal data for the purposes of direct marketing, market research and opinion polls. You may enforce these rights by contacting Hybe.
